SACRAMENTO, Calif. — After 30 years in Sacramento, Rio City Cafe is closing its doors.
"Our last day of service will be Saturday, August 3, 2024 ... this was in no way an easy decision, but due to multiple factors, sadly, we realize it is time to say our goodbyes," the business wrote in a Facebook post on Monday night.
The restaurant first opened its doors in May 1994 and became a staple on the boardwalk of the Old Sacramento Waterfront.
According to its website, the Rio City Cafe is known for its Sourdough Cheese Loaf, Fish and Chips and other dishes.
