Rite Aid plans to close more stores in Elk Grove, Sacramento

Bankruptcy court documents show the pharmacy chain recently announced the closing of two more stores in Sacramento County.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Rite Aid recently disclosed in bankruptcy court documents they plan to close additional 18 stores in California, including locations in Sacramento and Elk Grove.

The locations in Sacramento County planned to close include:

  1. Sacramento - 5610 Stockton Blvd.
  2. Elk Grove - 7211 Elk Grove Blvd.

They are in addition to the 54 California locations already planned to close, bringing the total count statewide to 72.

Rite Aid first filed for bankruptcy protections last year and plans to sell off part of its business to restructure while dealing with losses and opioid-related lawsuits.
