SACRAMENTO, California — The man who died in a chain-reaction crash along Interstate 80 earlier this week was identified as Ronald Anton, 34 of Citrus Heights.

The Sacramento County Coroner's Office confirmed the man's identity with ABC10 on Thursday.

Anton was killed along I-80, just west of I-5, on Aug. 19 after a pickup truck driver crashed into Anton's Toyota Tacoma. The California Highway Patrol said the driver didn't see traffic was stopped on the interstate, and it resulted in a chain reaction involving three other cars.

Anton was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person had major injuries and the initial pickup driver had minor injuries.
