SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The 30th Annual Run to Feed the Hungry returns Thanksgiving morning, drawing thousands of people to East Sacramento and bringing road closures.
Run to Feed the Hungry is an annual 10K and 5K run/walk benefiting the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services.
The course begins on J Street, west of the Sacramento State campus entrance, and ends at the Scottish Rite Temple parking lot on 56th and H Streets.
The 10K run will begin at 8:15 a.m., and the 5K will start at 9 a.m.
How much is registration?
Registration for the race costs $48.70 for adults before Thanksgiving. That price increases to $51.88 on the day of the event.
For kids 17 and under, registration is $27.50 before the event and $30.68 on Thanksgiving Day.
Road closures
Drivers and residents should be aware of road closures if they’re in the area.

J Street (Carlson Drive to 45th Street)
45th Street (J Street to Folsom Boulevard)
Folsom Boulevard (45th to 41st Street)
41st Street (Folsom Boulevard to H Street)
H Street (Alhambra Boulevard to 55th Street)
Alhambra Boulevard (H Street to McKinley Boulevard)
Elvas Avenue (McKinley Boulevard to 51st Street)
51st Street (Elvas Avenue to D Street)
D Street (51st Street to Coloma Way)
Coloma Way (D Street to Pico Way)
Pico Way (Coloma Way to F Street)
F Street (Pico Way to 47th Street)
47th Street (F Street to H Street)
