Man arrested for DUI after Sacramento crash leaves 1 dead, 3 hospitalized

An adult and two minors were taken to a hospital for critical injuries.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A 27-year-old man is facing DUI and manslaughter charges after an accident left one person dead and three others injured Sunday night.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, the call for a vehicle hitting pedestrians came in around 6:30 p.m. near Jibboom Street and Richards Boulevard.

Upon arrival officers found four victims: two adult women and two children.

One of the women, a 38-year-old, died at the scene. The second woman and the two children were taken to the hospital.

Police say the driver of the vehicle, 27-year-old Israel Campos, showed signs of intoxication. He was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
