SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A bicyclist is dead after being hit by a car in the Natomas area Tuesday morning.
According to Sgt. Mike Severi with the Sacramento Police Department, it happened around 7:30 a.m. near Club Center Drive and Banfield Drive in the Natomas Park neighborhood.
Severi says officers and the Sacramento Fire Department responded to a vehicle vs. bicyclist crash where the male bicyclist was taken to the hospital. He later died from his injuries and has not been identified yet.
The cause of the crash is under investigation and roads are expected to be closed for several hours.
