SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A deadly crash is under investigation Wednesday along westbound Highway 50 in Sacramento.
The California Highway Patrol said the crash happened at 16th Street and involved a pedestrian and a vehicle. It happened around 5:15 a.m.
A driver of a white Lexus heading westbound hit a pedestrian in the #2 lane. It's unclear why the pedestrian was walking on the highway. The person's identity hasn't been released and California Highway Patrol said they're currently a John Doe.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated. California Highway Patrol said they weren't driving under the influence.
