Sacramento police arrest suspect for the shooting death of a teenager

Sacramento police said officers identified Keondre Pratt as the suspect after talking to witnesses at the crime scene.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A Sacramento man was arrested Wednesday for killing a man in his car earlier this year, according to police. 

Keondre Pratt, 19, was arrested and faces four felony charges, including murder, for the shooting death of Syncere Dixon, 19.

Around 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, police responded to the area of North Avenue and Rio Linda Boulevard for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found a Dixon suffering from a gunshot wound inside a car that had crashed into a fence. He died at the scene. 

In the press release, Sacramento police detectives said they spoke to witnesses and through their investigation, identified Pratt. Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident.

Pratt was booked into the Sacramento County Jail and is currently ineligible for bail. No court date has yet been scheduled.
