SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Officials with the Sacramento Police Department are investigating after finding a man dead Friday morning on 29th Street.
Officers say they made the discovery around 9:30 a.m. in the 800 block of 29th Street. According to police, the man was not conscious and not breathing. Fire crews later pronounced him dead.
Law enforcement officials were not able to immediately determine what caused the man to die. They have opened an investigation into the death, but are not classifying it as a homicide yet.
The Sacramento County Coroner's Office responded to the scene to help officers find out how the man died. Officials said they would provide an update if the death is determined to be a homicide.
