Sacramento Pride happening this weekend at Capitol Mall

There's a free Pride march Sunday open to everyone, and people can purchase tickets to see the performers and much more.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento Pride is this weekend at Capitol Mall.

Tickets range in price. The Pride March Sunday is free and open to everyone. For the other parts of Pride, children 12 and under get in free, people 13-17 are $12 for a single day, a General Admission single-day pass is $20, a General Admission weekend pass is $35 and a VIP pass is $100 per day or $175 for the weekend. The VIP ticket includes express entry, access to a VIP lounge, four beverages per day per guest that can be alcoholic or nonalcoholic, snacks and refreshments, upgraded restrooms and more.

There are no refunds for tickets. People can park in parking garages near the event using the SacPark reservation system. Sacramento Regional Transit has stops near the event and the downtown Amtrak Station is a few blocks away.

Sacramento Pride said there will be a "limited amount" of uniformed and armed officers at the events, which is required by Sacramento for street closure events. There will also be professional security, according to Sacramento Pride.
