Sacramento SPCA offers free adoptions hoping to 'empty the shelter'

The free adoptions will be available at the shelter from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

The Sacramento SPCA is offering free adoptions on Saturday, May 5.

The SPCA partnered with the Bissell Pet Foundation for the event, which they hopes will "empty the shelter."

The free adoptions will be available at the shelter, located at 6201 Florin Perkins Road, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

The free adoptions will cover the pet's spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea prevention, microchip, a pet food starter kit and a veterinary exam. Each animal will receive a Bissell Pet Foundation leash or collar, and a packet full of valuable coupons and wellness information, while supplies last.

If you are interested in adopting an animal, visit the Sacramento SPCA website to view the animals currently available.
