Road reopens after street sweeper was hanging over side of westbound Highway 50 at I-5 connector in Sacramento

The right front wheel was hanging over the edge of the highway. The crash has been cleared and the road has since reopened.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A street sweeper crashed along westbound Highway 50 at the I-5 connector in Sacramento Friday. The right front wheel was hanging over the edge of the highway but the crash has been cleared and the road has since reopened.

According to California Highway Patrol, no one was injured in the crash.

All westbound Highway 50 traffic to southbound I-5 was being diverted to northbound I-5 for multiple hours due to damage to the bridge rail, according to California Highway Patrol. It has since reopened.
