A Dense Fog Advisory in effect for the valley with near freezing overnight lows.

SACRAMENTO, Calif — A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect from 1am Thanksgiving through 9am. Visibility is expected to be patchy and as low as a quarter miles in some valley spots.

Patchy frost and lows in the 30s will blanket the valley Thanksgiving morning. Morning temperatures at Lake Tahoe will be near 10°. The afternoon will be nearly ideal across the Golden State with highs in the 50s to near 60° in Northern California and 60s to low 70s in Southern California.

No storms through the holiday weekend.

The long-range forecast is also looking dry and warmer into next week.

THANKSGIVING DAY: Morning frost then mostly sunny with highs in the mid-50s. Lake Tahoe highs in the mid-40s.

FRIDAY: Morning frost then mostly sunny with highs in the mid-50s. Lake Tahoe highs near 50°.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 50s. Lake Tahoe highs in the upper 40s.

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 50s. Lake Tahoe highs in the upper 40s.

MONDAY:  Mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 50s. Lake Tahoe highs in the upper 40s.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 50s. Lake Tahoe highs in the upper 30s.

WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny with highs in the upper 50s. Lake Tahoe highs in the upper 30s.
