Here's what Sacramento-area schools are closed on Friday, Nov. 16

The following school districts and universities are closed Friday due to poor air quality in the area:

  • Sacramento City Unified School District
  • San Juan Unified School District
  • Rocklin Unified School District
  • Elk Grove Unified School District
  • Folsom-Cordova Unified School District
  • Dixon Unified School District
  • Natomas Unified School District
  • Washington Unified School District
  • Twin Rivers Unified School District
  • Vallejo City Unified School District
  • Western Placer Unified School District
  • Davis Joint Unified School District
  • Vacaville Unified School District
  • Roseville Joint Union High School District
  • Western Placer Unified School District
  • Sacramento State
  • Butte College
  • Contra Costa Community College District (Contra Costa College, Diablo Valley College, Los Medano College)
  • Los Rios Community College District (Sacramento City College, American River College, Cosumnes River College, Folsom Lake College)
  • Sacramento City College
  • Stanislaus State
  • Woodland Community College
  • UC Davis
  • Yuba College
  • All Sierra College campuses except Tahoe-Truckee

With Sacramento City Unified Schools being closed, the district has decided to hand out free lunches on Thursday afternoon.

The free bagged lunches will be available for pick-up between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday, November 15.

The district is providing the bagged lunches to help make sure all students have access to a healthy lunch even if schools are closed.

The free bagged lunches can be picked up at:

  • C.K. McClatchy High School (3066 Freeport Blvd.)
  • Hiram Johnson High School (6879 14th Ave.)
  • John F. Kennedy High School (6715 Gloria Drive)
  • Luther Burbank High School (3500 Florin Road)
  • Rosemont High School (9594 Kiefer Blvd)

When parents reach the school, they will need to look for a white van to pick up the lunches.
