SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A 14-year-old is being accused of making threats of violence toward a high school, the Sacramento Police Department said Tuesday.
Sacramento police were investigating shooting threats made against C.K. McClatchy High School on Friday and ultimately arrested a teenage girl on suspicion of criminal threats on Monday night.
“In a time when parents around this country have to mourn the loss of a child due to a school shooting, it is absolutely unacceptable that anyone would perpetuate this fear in others. The Sacramento Police Department takes a firm stance against this type of behavior and will investigate these incidents to the fullest extent of the law," a spokesperson for the police department said in a statement.
McClatchy High School is in the Sacramento City Unified School District.
