SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A woman died in a shooting Wednesday night in Sacramento's Pocket neighborhood.
The Sacramento Police Department said the shooting happened around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday in the Lake Crest Village Shopping Center near Shari's Cafe and Pies along Florin Road.
The woman had at least one life-threatening gunshot wound and police said she was taken to a hospital where she died. Her identity hasn't been released.
Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting. There's no information on a suspected shooter, according to the police department.
