SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Another Starbucks in downtown Sacramento closed Tuesday.
At noon, the Starbucks store at 12th and L streets operated by Hyatt Regency Sacramento shut down operations, according to a statement from the business. It is the second Starbucks in the city limits to close within a month. The company did not give a reason for the closure.
“It is with great sadness to announce we will be permanently closing,” read a sign on the door Tuesday afternoon. “We thank each and every one of you who has supported us and created a welcoming space for all.”
A separate sign said the business was sorry for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
On May 20, the Starbucks location at 7th and K streets in the Downtown Commons permanently closed, ABC10 previously reported.
That store had unionized in April 2023 by an 11-2 vote, making it the 300th store to unionize company-wide. Its reason for closure wasn’t immediately disclosed.
