SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Police are looking for car that they said took off after hitting and killing a woman in Sacramento Tuesday.
Sacramento Police Department responded to Freeport Boulevard and Potrero Way after reports that a car hit a woman in the area around 6 p.m.
Arriving officers found a woman with significant injuries who ultimately died after being taken to a hospital. Police believe she was on a bicycle when the collision happened.
According to police, the car involved drove away from the scene.
Police said they were able to identify the suspect vehicle as a 2004 GMC Envoy.
