SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento's McClellan Park recently confirmed planes seen flying overhead toward the former Air Force base were evacuated from Altus Air Force Base in Oklahoma.

Altus Air Force Base members of the 97th Air Mobility Wing evacuated aircraft throughout Monday out of an abundance of caution for a tornado risk in the area.

Severe weather warning potential in the Altus Air Force Base area is forecasted between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m. central daylight time Tuesday morning, according to base officials.
