SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Hundreds marched South Sacramento streets in honor of Stephon Clark's life, one year to the day that was killed.
A year ago on March 18, 2018, Clark was shot and killed in his grandmother's backyard by Sacramento Police.
"This is a day of remembrance," said Andre Young, Stephon Clark's cousin. "It's a lot. It's like getting flashbacks. It happened a year later. I still don't believe this."

Several of Clark's family members showed up at the march which ended at Meadowview Park.
"We're gonna keep his legacy alive. That's what it's about," Young said. "We're keeping his legacy alive. Justice for Stephon Clark."
Some like Melisa Price showed up to the march with their children.
"This is for his freedom and his future and hopefully a better world is possible," said Melisa Price.
Also, among those marching in solidarity was Christine Vang, the mother of Darell Richards, a 19-year-old who was shot and killed by Sacramento Police last September. Police said he pointed a gun at them, which would turn out to be a pellet gun, before they shot him.
“I'm here for their family, my family and all the ones that are killed by the officers,” Vang said.
Vang continues to grieve and search for answers as to what happened to her son. As she marched, she held a sign saying “Black Lives Matter.”
"I want to be here to support the Clark family - especially his mom because I know how she feels. It's really hard," Vang said. "I think about my son every day and you know everything reminds me of him.”
