SACRAMENTO, Calif. — An elderly woman is dead after she was hit by a pickup truck in Sacramento Monday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened along the 7100 block of Franklin Boulevard just after 7 p.m.
Police said a Ford F150 hit a pedestrian who was then taken to the hospital with major injuries. The pedestrian was later pronounced dead.
The pedestrian was only identified as an elderly Hispanic woman.
Alcohol is not considered a factor for the driver of the truck, according to police. The driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.
