Sam's Hof Brau closed permanently as site goes up for lease as 'open-shell'

A leasing agent says the owners are no longer looking to run a restaurant at this stage of their life.

ARDEN-ARCADE, Calif. — A community staple in the Arden-Arcade area is closing its doors for good. The site of Sam's Hof Brau was made available for leasing months after it was damaged in a fire.

The community staple opened in 1959, but today, it stands as an "open-shell" site. In other words, the inside of the business has been entirely removed, leaving little behind outside of the space itself and the walls, according to Stone Commercial leasing agent Joe Blanton.

Blanton says the building had smoke and water damage from the fire, but after restoring the building, the owners are no longer looking to run a restaurant at this stage of their life.

The building was put up for leasing in December, according to Blanton. It would require a full buildout for anyone looking to move in.

Anyone with inquiries on the site and leasing information can call Blanton at 916-907-7250.
