SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, Calif. — The two people killed in a boat crash Saturday night in San Joaquin County have been identified.
According to the San Joaquin County Medical Examiner’s Office, they are 41-year-old Quang Lu of Elk Grove and 21-year-old Navin Lu of Oakland.
Authorities say the crash was reported around 5 p.m. Saturday along the Mokelumne River near the Tower Park Marina off Highway 12.
A minor onboard made it out safely while the two adults they were with died from their injuries.
It’s unclear what led up to the crash and only one boat was involved.
