'Several drivers' in hospital after crash in Loomis

Deputies described the crash as having several vehicles involved and several drivers with unknown injuries.

LOOMIS, Calif. — 'Several drivers' were taken to the hospital after a crash in Loomis.

The Placer County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened at Bankhead and Sierra College. Few details surrounding the crash and what led up to it have been released.

Deputies only said "several vehicles are involved, several drivers have been transported to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries."

Traffic is being turned around at Bankhead in both directions and Sierra College Boulevard was closed  between Taylor and Bankhead roads.

Deputies are asking people to avoid the area.
