Silver Alert issued for missing Calaveras County man

According to the Calaveras County Sheriff's office, 65-year-old Shannon David Scott was last seen at his home in the 4000 block of Blagen Boulevard in Wilseyville. Investigators say Scott left his home at 11 a.m. for a VA appointment in Rancho Cordova, but never arrived.

A Silver Alert has been issued for a man in Calaveras County, last seen on Wednesday.

According to the Calaveras County Sheriff’s office, 65-year-old Shannon David Scott was last seen at his home in the 4000 block of Blagen Boulevard in Wilseyville.

Investigators say Scott left his home at 11 a.m. for a VA appointment in Rancho Cordova, but never arrived.

Scott is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 170 pounds, with short blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, white shorts and brown shoes.

Scott is believed to be traveling in a white 2014 Fiat with a California Purple Heart license plate with the number 9038PH. The vehicle also has a large Marine Corps sticker on the rear window.

Authorities say Scott has medical disabilities and is dependent on a wheelchair. If you have any information regarding his whereabouts, you are asked to call the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department at 209-754-6500, or your local law enforcement immediately.

Wilseyville is an unincorporated community in Calaveras County, located about 70 miles east of Sacramento.
