CARMICHAEL, Calif. — A skateboarder died Monday night after being hit by a car in Carmichael.
According to the California Highway Patrol, it happened around 8:30 p.m. on westbound Fair Oaks Boulevard near Marshall Avenue.
CHP says a Chevrolet Suburban was in the #2 lane when the driver collided with a pedestrian riding a skateboard in the same direction.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not been identified yet.
CHP says DUI is not suspected in the crash and the cause is still under investigation.
