SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento city officials will hear a proposal by developers to build 232 'garden style' apartments in South Sacramento's Delta Shores area.
After phase one of the project is approved by city officials, developers plan to move forward with phase two, which will bring the project to a total of 577 apartments on 8105 Delta Shores Circle.
"[It's a] great location near I-5 with onsite amenities and nearby shopping," Russell Square Inc. Director of Business Development Courtney Blair told ABC10. "We also feel this area is going to see significant growth in the coming years."
Both phases of the 8.6-acre project are aiming for a summer 2027 completion, according to the Seattle-based Russell Square Inc., with estimated construction costs of $150 million.
The project overview describes the proposed apartments as 3-4 story buildings with a pool deck, lounge spots, an indoor golf simulator, dog park, bike rooms and more.
According to a preliminary application, the first 232 apartments planned for development include:
- 110 one-bedroom housing units
- 99 two-bedroom housing units
- 23 three-bedroom housing units
