Man dies days after South Sacramento shooting

Police say the man was shot on Nov. 16 and ultimately died from his injuries on Nov. 24.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The death of a man a week after a Sacramento shooting is now being investigated as a homicide.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, the shooting happened around 3 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 along the 3000 block of Shining Star Drive.

Officers found a man with a gunshot wound at the scene and gave him medical aid until he was taken to a hospital for treatment.

He ultimately died from his injuries on Sunday, Nov. 24.

No suspect information is available and no one has been arrested yet. Police have not said what led up to the shooting.
