SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A woman is dead after a shooting at a south Sacramento apartment complex.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, it happened Monday morning at Cardosa Village apartments on 66th Avenue. The website for Cardosa says it's a "community for persons with psychiatric disabilities and their children."
The sheriff’s office says a woman was shot and killed, and it’s being investigated as a homicide.
The woman has not been identified nor has any information about what led up to the shooting been released yet but deputies did confirm she worked at the complex.
