SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Police are investigating a so-called "sideshow" that happened in South Sacramento late Saturday night.

Video of the Sideshow was recorded by a witness on Snapchat around 10 p.m. near Alma Vista Way and Pocket Road. An officer in the area arrived on scene and the crowd, and participating vehicles, quickly dispersed.

A sideshow is a kind of illegal street party where drivers and spectators, sometimes in very large numbers, gather and block a roadway while some perform donuts and burnouts in their vehicles.
