SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Thousands of Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) customers in South Sacramento had their power restored Sunday after a car crashed into a power pole.
According to SMUD's outage map, the power outage was caused by equipment being damaged by a car. As of 6 p.m. Sunday, the map shows the majority of customers have had their power restored.
