Most of South Sacramento home saved after vegetation fire pushed into attic, officials say

According to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, the fire pushed into the attic of a home but crews were able to save most of it.

Crews battled a vegetation fire that threatened multiple homes in South Sacramento Monday, according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.

Firefighters said the fire had originated near a homeless encampment by the Lenhart Road and Roseview Way intersection. It burned a total of three acres.

According to firefighters, the fire pushed into the attic of a home, but crews were able to save most of it.
