STOCKTON, Calif. — A man wanted for a weekend homicide in Stockton is now in custody.
According to the Stockton Police Department, 56-year-old Tyran White was arrested Thursday in Los Banos and taken back to the San Joaquin County Jail where he was booked on suspicion of homicide.
The arrest comes after a deadly early morning shooting on September 15.
Police say it happened just after midnight along the 900 block of Henry Long Boulevard. Officers found the 57-year-old victim with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
The San Joaquin County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 57-year-old Charles Alexander.
Investigators have not yet said what led up to the shooting.
