STOCKTON, Calif. — A power outage in Stockton more than 200 Pacific Gas and Electric customers without electricity Saturday evening.
The outage was first reported just before 4:30 p.m., according to the PG&E power outage map. Initial reports say over 1,400 people were affected earlier in the evening.
PG&E estimates power to be restored by 9:30 p.m. The cause of the outage is under investigation.
The outage came on what forecasters say is the hottest day so far this year in Northern California.
The highest temperature in Stockton was 94 degrees at 3:33 p.m. Saturday.
The record on this day is 99 degrees, set in 1972. The average temperature for this date is 82 degrees.
