1 dead in Stockton shooting, suspect unknown

The Stockton Police Department say the motive of the shooting is unknown.

STOCKTON, Calif. — A man is dead following a shooting Saturday night in Stockton.

The Stockton Police Department said the shooting happened after 6:30 p.m. in the area of Dr. MLK Jr. Boulevard and Aurora Street.

When officers arrived on the scene, police said they found a man in his 40s with a gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead. 

Police said the investigation of the shooting is ongoing, as there's no information on a suspect at this time and the motive remains unknown.
