1 dead after crash in Stockton involving semi-truck

Police said one driver was taken to a hospital but died from her injuries.

STOCKTON, Calif. — One person is dead after an accident in Stockton Sunday afternoon.

According to Stockton Police Department, the two-vehicle crash was reported just after 3:45 p.m. in the area of South El Dorado Street and South McKinley Avenue. Police said one of the vehicles involved was a semi-truck.

Police said the driver of the car, only described as a woman in her 30s, was the only person in it. She was ultimately taken to a hospital where she died.

The driver of the semi-truck stayed at the scene.

No additional information surrounding the crash was released. The cause of the crash is being investigated.
