17-year-old hurt in Stockton shooting

Police said the teen had a non-life-threatening injury.

STOCKTON, Calif. — A teenager was hurt after a shooting in Stockton Saturday night.

The shooting was reported just after 10:30 p.m. in the area of Orange Street and Sonora Street, but police didn't find the victim.

Police said a hospital called them and let them know a 17-year-old took himself to the hospital with an apparent gunshot wound. The teen's injury was non-life-threatening.

It's not clear why the shooting happened or what led up to it.
