STOCKTON, Calif. — One person is dead after the California Highway Patrol said they tried to beat the train across the railroad tracks in San Joaquin County.
CHP responded to the collision around 6:10 p.m. at Armstrong and Pearson roads.
According to CHP, the driver of a Honda was heading westbound on Armstrong when they tried to beat the train and got hit.
The driver was the only person in the vehicle and died in the collision.
