Keith Burgad shot a video of several dozen Stockton police and California Highway Patrol units chasing an SUV wanted in a bank robbery as they drove past him on Wednesday, July 16, 2014.
He posted the video on YouTube Wednesday; by Thursday night the video had more than 64,000 views.
The video records the last moments of a nearly hour-long high-speed chase after a bank robbery. Wednesday afternoon, three people robbed a Bank of the West branch at Hammer Lane and Thornton Road and took three women hostage. Police said the robbers stole a bank employee's SUV and led dozens of police cars on a chase that went from north Stockton to Lodi, Morada and back to north Stockton.
Three suspects and at least one hostage were inside the blue Ford Expedition when this video was recorded. In the video, hundreds of gunshots can be heard as suspects fired "AK-47-style rifles" at law enforcement.
