STOCKTON, Calif. — Police in Stockton are searching for a shooter after gunfire in a neighborhood Saturday morning left a man dead.
According to the Stockton Police Department, the deadly shooting happened around 10 a.m. Saturday near Sixth and Harrison Streets in south Stockton.
Officers said they found a 24-year-old man who was suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene. Medics pronounced the man dead.
Officials did not release any suspect information and investigators say they still don't know what motivated the shooting.
Homicide detectives are looking into the case, saying the investigation is ongoing.
