STOCKTON, Calif. — A man was arrested this week in connection to a shooting that killed a 14-year-old boy in Stockton.
According to the Stockton Police Department, officers arrested 50-year-old Anthony Young of Manteca on Wednesday and later booked him into San Joaquin County Jail for homicide charges.
On Sept. 21, a 14-year-old boy died after being shot in the area of Carolyn Weston Boulevard and Manthey Road. An investigation was launched when he arrived at the hospital around 6 a.m.. He died from his injuries later that night.
The 14-year-old victim was identified as Jon David Lee Castleman of Stockton, according to the San Joaquin County Medical Examiner's Office.
The shooting is still under investigation, police said.
