STOCKTON, Calif. — Police officers arrested an allegedly intoxicated teacher on the campus of Stockton's George Lincoln Mosher Elementary School Friday, officials with the Stockton Police Department said.
At 12:28 p.m. Friday, officers arrested 52-year-old teacher Stacy Michelle Johnson on suspicion of being intoxicated while on school grounds and possession an open container of alcohol.
In statement, the Lodi Unified School District said it is cooperating with the Stockton Police Department while they launch an investigation. Lodi Unified declined to provide more information, calling the matter a personnel issue.
"We want to assure our community that the safety of our students and staff remains our primary priority," the statement said.
