STOCKTON, Calif. — It has been 10 months since a family of three was shot and killed in their Stockton home last Mother's Day.
One of those victims, Gina Xiong, would have been 23 years old on Monday. To celebrate her birthday, her family returned to the neighborhood where it all happened in hopes of finding new leads.
Xiong was gunned down in her living room with her husband 22-year-old Joe Lor and their 5-year-old daughter, Kayleen, while celebrating Mother's Day.
"If you guys remember anything from that night, you guys could call that number [Stockton Crime Stoppers at 209-946-0600] and remain completely anonymous," Ka Lor Vang, Joe's sister, said to a neighbor.
The family has taken the search for justice into their own hands, handing out fliers to everyone who lives in the Sierra Vista neighborhood where their loved ones were taken from them.
"Our family will not settle, we will not stop fighting until we find justice for them because we know someone knows something and is just too scared to come forward," Lor Vang said.
Crime Stoppers increased the reward for information leading to an arrest up to $30,000 last spring.
"We lost three beautiful innocent lives," Cheng Lor, Joe's brother, said in a press conference back in May of 2018. He could not hold back his tears.
Lor also returned to help hand out fliers.
"There's nothing that we know in terms of why it happened, so it's still a mystery, we just want some sort of closure," he said. "Today's feeling has never changed from that time, the wound is still really, really fresh."
Police have exhausted all leads and still have no suspects.
"Our family is trying to be patient, but it's still frustrating that we haven't gotten anything and it's been almost a year," Ka Lor Vang said.
The family wasn't alone in their walk on Sunday.
"It's frustrating for us because we know people know something," Tori Verber Salazar, the San Joaquin County District Attorney said. "And if you know something, and you don't say something, you've let this person, or these people get away with murdering a 5-year-old child, a mother and a father, I don't know how you sleep at night."
Tori Verber Salazar, the San Joaquin County district attorney, also came to help.
"Think back to Mother's Day last year, maybe you saw something and it didn't seem valuable at the time," she said. "But it might be valuable now, we know more, we have more information, and so that piece could be extremely valuable, it might not seem important to you but it could be very valuable to us."
Salazar says someone knows something and they're all asking anyone with information to come forward.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Stockton Crime Stoppers at 209-946-0600, you can remain anonymous. The reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest is set at $30,000.
"We don't want people to forget about this," Ka Lor Vang said. "We don't want them to forget about this story and the hurt that our family is still going through and we want to find justice for them."
