STOCKTON, Calif. — A man wanted in connection with a 2021 Stockton homicide was found and arrested Monday morning.
According to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office, 22-year-old Richard Jacobo Jr. was arrested in the 1200-block of East College Avenue around 11:30 a.m.
Investigators say he's suspected of killing 19-year-old Tyler Canterberry in east Stockton.
Canterberry was shot in the area of Washington Street and Walker Lane on July 6, 2021, and later died from his injuries.
Authorities identified Jacobo as a suspect on June 22 and issued a warrant for his arrest.
He's now being held at the San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of murder.
No court date has been scheduled yet, according to San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office.
