Woman allegedly trespassing on tracks hit by Amtrak in Stockton

Police said the woman was taken to a hospital but it's not clear what condition the woman is in.

STOCKTON, Calif. — One woman is in the hospital after she was hit by an Amtrak train in Stockton.

According to Stockton Police Department, the incident happened in the area of Scotts between Modesto and Pershing. 

Amtrak officials told ABC10 the woman was trespassing on the tracks when she was hit by a train heading to Bakersfield from Oakland. It happened around 3:15 p.m.

Officials said none of the 88 passengers or crew onboard were hurt during the incident.

Police said the woman was taken to a hospital but it's not clear what condition the woman is in.

The incident is under investigation.
