Stockton man receives federal indictment for allegedly selling informant 9 illegal guns

Antonio Soto-Perez has been charged with four counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

STOCKTON, Calif. — A 26-year-old Stockton man has been indicted on four federal charges after allegedly selling an informant nine weapons — including two assault rifles, according to a news release from the U.S. District Attorney's Office.

Antonio Soto-Perez, 26, has been charged with four counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

This comes after four undercover purchases where Soto-Perez is accused of selling nine guns, including a weapon with a high-capacity magazine, another with an obliterated serial number, and two assault rifles, prosecutors said.

If he is convicted, Soto-Perez could be sentenced to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
