SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — A plane that crashed in San Bernardino was flying out of Stockton, according to FlightRadar24 data.
The crash claimed the life on one man. His identity hasn't been released at this time.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office, witnesses heard a plane sputter and crash in the north end of San Bernardino around 8:21 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies responded, but they weren't able to search the mountain area due to the terrain. Weather also restricted the sheriff's Aviation Division from helping.
However, on Sunday the Aviation Division found a debris field in the mountains north of Devil's Canyon. Search and Rescue teams were sent into the field with an investigator from the Coroner's Office where they found the body of the man.
The National Transportation Safety Board conduct an independent investigation.
The Federal Aviation Administration said the crash involved a twin-engine Gulfstream AC95.
