STOCKTON, Calif. — The Stockton Police Department says it made an arrest in connection to a deadly shooting that happened in early 2023.
Police identified Vincent Chavez, 28, as a suspect in a shooting that left one person dead and three others hurt. Police said the shooting happened around 2:15 a.m. on Feb. 5, 2023, in the 1300 block of Fremont Street.
Chavez was arrested Friday and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail for homicide-related charges.
Police say all of the victims were men and were taken to the hospital where one of them died. The slain victim was 42-years-old, police said,
The other three victims were treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation of the deadly shooting remains active, police said.
