Woman killed in Stockton crash

The deadly crash happened near the campus of the University of the Pacific.

STOCKTON, Calif. — A 32-year-old woman was killed after her car crashed near the campus of Stockton's University of the Pacific early Saturday morning.

The crash happened around 2:37 a.m. Saturday in the 3500 block of Pershing Avenue, police said. Investigators believe the woman crashed her car into a tree while driving south on Pershing Avenue.

Officials are now looking into what caused the crash.
