STOCKTON, Calif. — A woman died after being hit by a car in Stockton early Sunday morning.
According to Stockton Police Department, officers responded to a report of a woman down on the roadway in the area of West Lane and El Pinal Drive around 4:50 a.m.
Police said the woman was dead at the scene, but it's not clear what led up the hit-and-run. The woman was only described as being in her 40s or 50s.
No suspect information is available at this time.
